Growing Kind Kids is the public education website of Charlotte Peterson, PhD, a licensed psychologist in Portland, Oregon. Information we collect

You can read this site without creating an account. We do not require login, and we do not run a first-party advertising or analytics pixel on these pages.

If you contact us, we receive the information you choose to send:

  • Email or phone. Messages to drcharpeterson@gmail.com or 541-914-5700 include whatever you write or say, plus standard carrier or mail-server metadata.
  • Contact form. The contact page embeds a JotForm form. JotForm collects your name, email address, message, and technical data needed to submit the form (such as IP address and browser type) according to JotForm's own terms.
  • Newsletter form. The home page embeds a JotForm newsletter signup. JotForm collects the address you enter and related submission metadata.
  • Book purchase. Autographed-copy purchases use PayPal. PayPal collects payment details; we receive what PayPal shares with the seller to fulfill the order (typically your name, shipping details, and that payment succeeded).

Images on the site are served from Amazon CloudFront. Fonts are served by Google Fonts. Those providers may process technical request data such as IP address and user-agent as part of delivering the files.

How we use information

We use contact and newsletter information to answer you, send requested updates, fulfill book orders, and schedule professional services or presentations. We do not sell personal information, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.

Cookies and third parties

This site does not set first-party advertising cookies. Embedded JotForm and PayPal flows may set their own cookies in order to run the form or checkout. Google Fonts and CloudFront may use standard CDN or font-delivery cookies or logs. Their practices are governed by their own privacy policies.

Children's privacy

Growing Kind Kids publishes parenting education for adults. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children through this website.

Retention, access, and deletion

We keep correspondence and order records as long as needed to respond, provide the requested service, and meet professional or legal record-keeping duties. To ask what we hold about you, correct it, or request deletion of site-related contact or newsletter records, email drcharpeterson@gmail.com with the address you used. We may need to retain some information when the law or professional standards require it.
